Job summary

Flex is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Batam, Indonesia. You will support process planning, time estimation, and workflow optimization to improve throughput and cost efficiency.

The role involves coordinating NPI activities, analyzing production data, and driving improvements across facilities to enhance product quality. A strong emphasis on lean methods and cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

Typically requires 4 years of engineering experience in high-tech electronics or related fields.
Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees.

Responsibilities

Provide process time estimation to the quote team.
Simulate processes, materials and manufacturing workflow and advise the process engineer.
Coordinate process planning and setup during NPI with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirements.
Review prototype results and give feedback to NPI and sales teams.
Develop work measurement programs and establish standards for labor utilization.
