Job summary

Flex in Batam, Indonesia is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing teams and drive process improvements. The role involves estimating process times, simulating workflows, coordinating NPI plans, and optimizing labor and equipment utilization to reduce waste and costs.

You will work with cross-functional teams to implement efficiency improvements, monitor process performance, and contribute to cost reviews and production planning. This position is on site in Batam.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 4 years of engineering experience in a high technology electronics industry or related area.
• Advanced functional and technical skills with basic process know-how.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents and journals.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals.
• Effective communication with managers and employees across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulate process, materials and manufacturing workflow; input to process engineer.
• Coordinate process planning during NPI with respect to takt and cycle time.
• Review prototype results and provide feedback to NPI and sales.
• Develop work measurement programs and standards for labor utilization.
• Analyze staff utilization, layout, costs, and production schedules to optimize resources.
• Recommend methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste, including restructuring tasks and equipment.
• Collaborate with management to implement plans and improvements.
