Job summary

Macmahon Mining Service is seeking individuals to provide competent welding heavy equipment functions to meet project targets while promoting a safe work environment. This role collaborates with mining engineers and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will lead teams, ensure equipment readiness, and adhere to procedures, with a 4 weeks on/2 weeks off roster and competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum senior high school degree required.
• At least 2 years in leadership roles within mining/heavy equipment industries.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure welding machines and equipment are in good working order.
• Apply correct work procedures for crack repairs and ensure quality.
• Monitor welding consumables and maintain stocks.
• Liaise with client and consult Mining Engineers.
• Roster: 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off; promote safe work practices.

About the Role

We're searching for individuals who will provide competent and professional Welding Heavy Equipment functions to ensure the targets set by the project are met on time while promoting and maintaining a healthy and safe environment for everyone at work. This role will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

Responsibilities

The scope of your role will include but not be limited to ensure all welding machines are in good working order and condition.

Ensure that the correct work procedures are used for Cracks repairs and keep good quality of repairs.

Ensure all welding machines are in good working order and condition.

Monitor welding consumables and maintain stocks.

Design according to the best available geotechnical advice.

Liaise with client and consult Mining Engineers.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Degree in Senior High School.

Minimum 2 years' experience in leadership roles at mineral/coal mining industry and heavy equipment industry.

Good leadership and people management skills.

Roster: 4 weeks on & 2 weeks off
