Job summary

PT Arnawarma Mineral Jaya on-site civil supervision role overseeing mining infrastructure construction, including haul roads and drainage works. You will lead crews, review drawings and ensure quality, schedule and budget compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, with 3+ years in civil engineering and 2+ years in supervision within mining, plus fluency in Indonesian and English and a valid driver’s licence. Remote mining sites may be involved.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of civil engineering experience with 2+ years in supervision in mining.
• Experience in mining infrastructure projects (haul roads, drainage, pits).
• Ability to read drawings and project blueprints, interpret specs.
• Understanding of Indonesian OH&S regulations and mining best practices.
• Fluent Indonesian and English (written and spoken).
• Valid driving licence; willingness to work in remote mining sites.

Job description

Supervise and coordinate daily civil engineering construction activities on-site, including excavation, foundation work, haul road construction and other mining infrastructure development

Oversee the work of construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines and budget constraints

Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to verify that all work meets engineering drawings, specifications and regulatory requirements

Implement and enforce comprehensive health, safety and environmental protocols across all construction activities

Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, progress reports, material usage and any incidents or safety concerns

Identify and resolve technical challenges and construction issues in real-time, liaising with senior engineers when necessary

Coordinate the movement and delivery of materials, equipment and personnel to support efficient site operations

Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to ensure all team members understand project requirements and safety expectations

Report directly to site management on project progress, budget performance and any risks to timely completion

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution

Minimum 3 years of practical experience in civil engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role within mining operations

Proven experience in mining infrastructure projects, including haul roads, pit slopes, drainage systems and support facilities

Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies and quality assurance standards applicable to mining projects

Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications and project blueprints

Comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and mining industry best practices in Indonesia

Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively

Demonstrated problem-solving capability and ability to make sound decisions under pressure

Fluency in Indonesian and English (both written and verbal)

Valid driving licence and ability to work in remote mining environments

Preference for experience with mining software systems and site management tools

Preference for experience in tropical or challenging climatic conditions
