Job summary

UNICEF Indonesia seeks to establish a roster of qualified WASH Infrastructure Construction Engineers who may be engaged as individual consultants for short- or long-term assignments. Roster members provide specialized technical support across planning, design, implementation, supervision and contract management of WASH infrastructure projects.

Education includes advanced degrees in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related fields and a professional engineer’s license; minimum 10 years of

Advanced university degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
Professional engineer’s license preferred.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in WASH infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Provide planning, design, construction, supervision and management support for WASH infrastructure projects.
Perform infrastructure needs assessments and site surveys.
Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, specifications and BoQs.
Prepare and review bidding and procurement documents.
Conduct technical evaluation of bids and proposals.
Oversee construction supervision and ensure quality assurance.
Monitor contractor performance and contract management.
Conduct technical inspections and certify completed works.
Develop operation and maintenance plans and provide capacity building.
