Job summary

Plan International Indonesia seeks a Community Outreach Officer (TTS) to support community engagement, hygiene promotion, and social behaviour change across districts in NTT. The role reports to the Community Outreach Specialist and collaborates with communities, schools, health facilities, and local authorities to promote inclusive participation and sustainable WASH practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Community Development, WASH, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in community-based WASH or development projects.
• Experience mobilizing communities, households, schools, and local stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene promotion, behaviour change, and sustainable WASH services.
• Ability to promote gender equality, disability inclusion, and safeguarding when working with children.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, coordination, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia (spoken and written).
• Ability to work with diverse communities and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Effective Community Engagement, Participation and Ownership in WASH planning, implementation, monitoring, and sustainability.
• Sustainable Hygiene Behaviour Change through community-based activities.
• Stakeholder Coordination with communities, local government, schools, health facilities, and other stakeholders.
• Community Accountability and Sustainability of WASH Services via feedback and participatory monitoring.
• Safeguarding, GEDSI and Quality Field Implementation across outreach activities.
