Job summary

UNICEF Indonesia seeks qualified WASH Infrastructure Construction Engineers to provide technical support as consultants on short-term or long-term basis. Responsibilities include planning, design, supervision, and quality assurance of WASH projects, with emphasis on capacity building and documentation.

Eligible candidates will have an advanced civil engineering degree and a professional license, plus at least a decade of relevant field experience, including procurement and contract management.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Masters) in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Professional engineer’s license.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in planning, design, construction, supervision, and management of WASH infrastructure projects.
• Experience with UNICEF/UN agencies or international development organizations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure needs assessments, feasibility studies, and site assessments.
• Development and review of engineering designs, drawings, specs and BoQs.
• Preparation and review of bidding documents and procurement.
• Technical evaluation of bids and contractor performance monitoring.
• Construction supervision and quality assurance; contract management.
