Job summary

Meratus Group, a leading Indonesian maritime and logistics operator, seeks a Vessel Inspector (Master) to ensure regular ship inspections and proper closure of audit findings. The role supports compliance with applicable rules and regulations from our Head Office in Surabaya.

Ideal candidates have Chief Officer experience onboard vessels, a Class 1 CoC, and a drive to work in a shore-based position at the Surabaya HQ.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chief Officer onboard vessels.
• CoC Class 1 certification is required.
• Willing to work in a shore-based position at Head Office, Surabaya.

Responsibilities

• Execute vessel inspections at least twice a year per plan.
• Provide inspection reports and track corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Ship Manager/Superintendent to close findings on time.
• Review and update inspection checklists for continuous improvement.
• Monitor and revise SOP sections to ensure daily compliance.
