SUMAK TURKISH CUISINE in Bali is seeking a passionate Commis Cook to join our kitchen team. This entry-level role works under senior chefs to learn and develop culinary skills while contributing to authentic Turkish dishes.

You will perform mise en place, prep ingredients, and maintain safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a full-time schedule with opportunities to grow under experienced staff.

Qualifications

• A relevant culinary qualification, diploma or recognised hospitality training (preferred).
• Basic food preparation and cooking skills with kitchen safety and hygiene awareness.
• Entry-level to junior kitchen experience acceptable; eager to learn Turkish cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and kitchen standards under supervision.
• Assist mise en place activities and prep ingredients for service.
• Keep workstation clean and comply with health and safety rules.
• Support Turkish dish preparation, ensuring consistency in flavor and portions.
• Monitor stock freshness and rotate as needed; assist with plating and garnishing.
• Collaborate with kitchen team for timely service and proper food handling.
• Learn techniques from experienced chefs and take on additional duties as directed.
