Job summary

CATL Indonesia is seeking a Laboratory Testing Engineer to conduct tests on battery cells and modules, monitor processes, and report results. The role focuses on quality control and data-driven improvements within EV battery testing.

The candidate will support bench setups, fixture work, and equipment maintenance, and assist client audits and ISO 17025 compliance, while guiding junior technicians and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an automotive company.
• Knowledge of EV Battery technology.
• Languages: English, Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests on material battery cells and modules according to test procedures, including monitoring the test process, quality control, and reporting.
• Test bench setup, fixture assembly and disassembly, tooling preparation, equipment maintenance.
• Analysis of test requirements for continuous development of test technologies and data analysis methods.
• Support and training of laboratory technicians in the implementation and processing of various project tasks (also regarding handling exceptions and test errors, data processing, preparation of test reports, etc.).
• Communication with clients on the test project, assistance in the preparation and implementation of customer audits and laboratory management certification such as ISO 17025.
• Administrative and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
