Job summary

Tencent is seeking a Data+AI Solution Architect in Jakarta to translate customer needs into scalable end-to-end Data+AI architectures. You will design solutions for telecom, fintech, retail, and gaming, and lead PoC engagements to demonstrate value.

You will collaborate with SIs, ISVs, and Tencent product teams to build repeatable Data+AI solutions, influence localization and data governance, and help drive cloud adoption in the region.

• Lead technical exchanges and PoC projects to demonstrate value and drive cloud adoption and architecture upgrades.

Job Description

• Requirement Insight & Solution Design:Deeply understand customers’ needs and pain points in data and AI scenarios, including data platforms, real-time computing, data governance and AI/ML workloads. Design end-to-end Data+AI solutions for industries such as Telecommunications, Financial Services (including Fintech), Retail, E-commerce and Gaming.
• Customer Acquisition & Value Proposition:Lead technical exchanges and Proof of Concept (PoC) projects for key clients. Communicate the core advantages of Tencent Cloud’s Data+AI products to drive cloud adoption, migration and architecture upgrades.
• Solution Building:Turn successful customer cases into repeatable Data+AI solutions that the team can reuse in the local market.
• Ecosystem & Partner Collaboration:Work with local system integrators (SIs), independent software vendors (ISVs) and consulting firms to co-create joint solutions and expand market reach.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:Act as the bridge between customers and the Big Data product team. Work with industry, product, R&D, delivery and post-sales teams to resolve client technical requests efficiently.
• Product Feedback & Localization:Identify key customer requirements for Data+AI products, such as data compliance and multi-cloud strategy. Feed them into the product roadmap to drive localization and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Infrastructure or AI Infrastructure, including customer-facing presales or solution architecture experience.
• Background at a cloud provider, a data/AI platform vendor, or an enterprise building its own data/AI platform is preferred.

Data Infrastructure

• Solid understanding of big data technologies such as Spark, Flink, Elasticsearch, Doris, ClickHouse and Trino. Familiar with data lake and lakehouse architecture (Iceberg, Hudi) and serverless data concepts. Understands how these components behave in different data scenarios.

AI Infrastructure

• Good understanding of AI/ML technologies such as Ray, PyTorch/TensorFlow and MLflow.
• Familiar with current Data+AI topics, including lakehouse + AI/ML integration, vector databases, RAG data foundations, data agents and ontology-based data modeling.
• Experience in building machine learning platforms or multimodal data pipelines is a strong plus.

Data Security & Compliance

• Understanding of Indonesia’s data regulations, including the Personal Data Protection (PDP) Law, OJK financial services regulations, and data localization/residency requirements. Experience applying them in Fintech or financial services scenarios is highly preferred.
• Familiar with mainstream cloud Data+AI products such as AWS (EMR, Redshift, SageMaker), Google Cloud (BigQuery, Vertex AI), Snowflake and Databricks. Able to perform competitive analysis and develop differentiation strategies.

Soft Skills

• Strong logical thinking and communication skills. Proactive, open-minded and a good team player, able to work effectively in a cross-cultural, high-pressure environment.

Language

• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken.
• Must be able to independently deliver technical presentations, write proposals and support client negotiations.
