The role requires a Civil/Structural engineering background, 2–5 years in technical support or sales engineering, and fluency in Indonesian and English to communicate with clients and internal teams.

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Support (Sales Surabaya) professional to join PT PILAR INTI FITTINDO, a leading organisation in the Civil and Structural Engineering sector. This is a full-time position based in Surabaya, East Java. In this role, you will serve as a crucial bridge between our sales team and our clients, providing technical expertise and support to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction. You will play an integral part in our sales process by delivering technical guidance, conducting site assessments, and supporting the engineering solutions we provide to our clients in the construction and structural engineering industry.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team during the pre-sales phase, including client consultations and project assessments
• Conduct site inspections and technical evaluations to understand client requirements and constraints
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and preliminary designs to support sales proposals
• Assist in developing cost estimates and technical solutions tailored to client needs
• Liaise between sales personnel and engineering teams to ensure project feasibility and alignment with client expectations
• Support the creation of technical presentations and proposal materials for potential clients
• Provide post-sales technical support to ensure smooth project handover and implementation
• Maintain detailed records of technical assessments, client communications, and project outcomes
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying challenges and suggesting technical enhancements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 2-5 years of experience in a technical support, sales engineering, or site engineering role within the civil or structural engineering sector
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, building materials, and construction methodologies
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in technical drawing software such as AutoCAD or similar design applications
• Experience in conducting site assessments and preparing technical documentation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet client deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teamsFluency in Indonesian and English (both spoken and written)
• A professional approach to work with keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required
