Job summary

PT Maximus Indo Asia in Tangerang, Banten, is seeking a Manager Training & Development – Heavy Equipment to lead the creation and delivery of training for operators, mechanics, and site staff across construction, mining, plantation, and forestry sectors.

The role requires 8–10 years in heavy equipment with at least 5 years as a trainer, plus knowledge of K3 and safety standards. Travel to field sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum S1 education in Mechanical/Heavy Equipment/Mining or related field.
• 8–10 years in heavy equipment, 5+ years as trainer/instructor.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment industries and business models.
• Ability to deliver theory and practical training on equipment operation.

MANAGER TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT – HEAVY EQUIPMENT

Manager Training & Development – Heavy Equipment at PT Maximus Indo Asia, located in Kota Tangerang - Banten. The role involves developing and delivering training programs for heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and employees across the construction, mining, plantation, forestry, and industrial machinery sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design training programs and materials for the heavy equipment industry
• Conduct training needs analysis and create training matrices aligned with organizational structure and job requirements
• Deliver theory and practical training for heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and related employees
• Conduct pre-tests, post-tests, practical assessments, and competency evaluations for training participants
• Provide coaching and counselling to improve capability and work productivity of operators, mechanics, and other employees
• Ensure training implementation complies with SOP standards, occupational health and safety (K3), and company operational standards
• Create training reports and document competency development of training participants
• Identify training needs and provide recommendations for employee competency development
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure operator, mechanic, and employee competency needs are met

About you

• Minimum S1 education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related fields
• Minimum 8-10 years experience in the heavy equipment industry, with minimum 5 years as a trainer or instructor for heavy equipment
• Strong understanding of the heavy equipment industry (construction, mining, plantation, forestry, industrial machinery) and similar business models
• Understanding of operation, basic maintenance, and characteristics of various types of heavy equipment
• Ability to deliver theory and practical training on heavy equipment operation
• Experience developing training modules, curricula, training matrices, heavy equipment training materials, and conducting participant evaluations
• Ability to develop and conduct competency assessments and measurements for specialist and professional positions in the heavy equipment industry
• Understanding and application of occupational health and safety (K3) in heavy equipment operation
• Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
• Ability to provide coaching and counselling, and implement mentoring systems for training participants and employees
• Willingness to undertake official travel and site visits outside the local area
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for teaching, training needs, administration, and training reporting
• Certifications in TOT (Training of Trainer), BNSP, SIO/SIMPER, or heavy equipment-related certifications are advantageous
