Job summary

PT Sinarmas LDA Maritime is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee onboard maintenance on Tug vessels, with emphasis on PMS compliance and docking readiness. The candidate should have 3+ years sea service as Chief Engineer, and experience with ME/AUX/Pump systems above 2000 HP, plus at least 1 year as Port Engineer or Technical Superintendent.

Strong communication and MS Office skills are required to coordinate budgets, purchases, and regulatory inspections across Indonesian operations.

Qualifications

• Sea service record as Chief Engineer on Tug vessels, minimum 3 years.
• Experience in handling ME, AUX, and Pumps (>2000 HP).
• Experience as Port Engineer or Technical Superintendent for at least 1 year.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all onboard maintenance runs smoothly according to PMS.
• Ensure vessels are ready for operation.
• Oversee docking processes: prepare docking repair lists, organize, issue jobs, assist Technical Director to choose site, supervise the process, coordinate class and flag authorities visits, and ensure certificates are updated and docking reports are completed on time.
• Review general conditions and issues with crew onboard.
• Issue purchase requests and obtain Technical Director approval; monitor and review the budget; participate in budget preparation; track costs and report deviations.

Having sea service record as Chief Engineer on board at least 3 years in Tug (experiences at SPB will be advantage)

Having experiences to handle ME, AUX, Pump with min HP 2000

Having experiences as Port Engineer or Technical Superintendent min 1 year

Job Description:

Ensure all maintenance on board running well based on the existing PMS

Make sure the vessels are ready for the operation

Ensure all docking process running well (prepare docking repair list and organize, list the specifications and issue the job, assist Technical Director to choose the site, supervise the process, organizes the class and flag authorities visit and also ensure to get all certificates update and full docking report in time)

Review the general conditions and problems with the crew on board

Issue the purchase request from the vessels, to be approved by Technical Director

Monitor and review the budget

Participates in the preparation of the budgets

Tracks costs and reports deviations
