Job summary

PT Intermulti Kreasi, a 30-year interior contractor in Jakarta, seeks a Technical Interior Designer who can bridge design intent with construction reality. You will develop concepts, produce buildable documentation, and coordinate BIM with M&E, driving projects from concept to handover with the PM and production teams in-studio and on-site.

The role requires strong rendering capability, BIM proficiency, and the ability to present to clients.

Qualifications

The Role

We're looking for an Interior Designer who's just as comfortable behind AutoCAD and BIM software as they are in front of a client. This role sits at the intersection of design and technical execution, you'll take concepts through construction-ready documentation, and you'll be the one clients and the field both trust to get the details right.

You’ll work from our studio in Jakarta, collaborating closely with our Project Management and Production teams to bring commercial interiors to life. This isn't a role for pure renderers or pure drafters, you'll own your work end-to-end: developing the concept, producing the technical drawings and BIM coordination that make it buildable, presenting to clients, and resolving issues on site.

What You’ll Do

• Develop interior design concepts for commercial, office, and retail fit-out projects
• Produce technical drawings, BIM models, and construction documentation to translate design concepts into buildable plans
• Coordinate M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) drawings with consultants and contractors to keep design intent intact through technical execution
• Produce material boards and 3D visualizations for client presentations
• Present design concepts and technical solutions directly to clients and building representatives with confidence
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, and the Production workshop to ensure design intent is maintained through execution
• Conduct site visits to monitor design and technical implementation, resolving on-site issues
• Stay current with commercial interior trends and translate them into practical, buildable ideas
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing quality or attention to detail

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in interior design and technical documentation: commercial, retail, or office fit-out projects preferred; hands-on office interior project experience is a strong advantage
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both design concepts and technical/construction drawings, not just renders
• Rendering: proficient in at least one of the following : Vray, Lumion, or Enscape
• CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator
• Working knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows
• Understanding of M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) wiring and coordination drawings
• Fluent in English: written and spoken. You'll be in the room with senior clients
• Confident, well-presented, and articulate; you represent Intermulti every time you meet a client
• Understands the difference between designing something and building something, and bridges that gap naturally
• Proud of your work. Detail-obsessed. Not afraid to push back on a bad idea

Nice to Have:

• Fluent in Mandarin is a plus
• Familiarity with BOQ or material specification documents
• Experience presenting to C-suite or Director-level clients
• Hands-on proficiency in Revit
• Familiar with AI tools for design visualization or presentation (e.g., Midjourney, AI rendering plugins)
