Job summary

PT Sika Indonesia is seeking a Mobile Technical Engineer to join the Channel Distribution team in Indonesia. The role involves hands-on field support, product training, and technical testing across vertical markets and Sika Pro Centers.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 3+ years in construction materials, and strong English and Bahasa Indonesia communication skills. You must be highly mobile and willing to travel across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• At least 3 years in construction chemicals or general construction.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Computer literate and proficient with standard office software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Strong negotiation ability and willingness to travel across Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, on-site technical support to customers and distributors.
• Deliver product training and introduce Sika Systems and Products.
• Develop QC modules and conduct training for VM Residential and Sika Pro Centers.
• Perform product testing, including internal development and external comparisons.
• Develop improvement plans to address operational gaps and enhance service quality.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity gains.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze feedback and resolve field issues.

Technical Engineer (Channel Distribution)

We are seeking a highly skilled and mobile Technical Engineer to join our Channel Distribution team. You will play a critical role in driving our business expansion, specifically providing expert technical support for the Vertical Market (VM) Residential segment and Sika Pro Centers across Indonesia. You will work directly in the field with contractors and distributors, providing hands‑on technical support and product training.

Key responsibilities

Support customers and distributors by providing hands‑on, on‑site technical support, product training, and comprehensive introductions to Sika Systems and Products

Execute product mock‑ups, conduct applicator/contractor training, and create QC Modules specifically targeting the Vertical Market (VM) Residential segment and Sika Pro Centers

Conduct rigorous product testing (both internal product development and external competitor comparisons) on a regular basis

Develop and implement targeted improvement plans to address identified operational gaps, ensuring the highest quality of technical support delivery

Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and increased productivity in the delivery of technical solutions

Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to analyze customer feedback, track performance, and resolve recurring technical issues or challenges in the field

About you

Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) majoring in Civil Engineering

Minimum 3 years of proven working experience in a similar role within the construction chemicals or general construction industries

Strong technical knowledge of construction materials and application methods

Computer literate and proficient in standard office applications

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to converse effectively in both Bahasa Indonesia and English

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle customer objections professionally

Highly mobile and strictly willing to travel across Indonesia as required by business and project needs
