Job summary

Otazen is seeking a Technical Drafter to bridge design and execution in furniture and interior fit-out projects. You will translate concepts into precise shop drawings and material breakdowns, ensuring alignment with production and on-site needs.

You will work closely with site teams and contractors, lead KOMs, and support QC during assembly and handover while applying AutoCAD/SketchUp skills and strong reading of technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum D3 in Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a drafter, preferably with interior fit-out or furniture projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/SketchUp; familiarity with SolidWorks or other 3D software (e.g., 3ds Max) is a plus.
• Strong ability to read architectural, interior, and technical drawings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including in English.
• Proficient in Office applications.
• Able to work well in a team and coordinate across divisions, including with site teams.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering drawings, shop drawings, and material breakdowns for furniture and interior fit-out projects.
• Analyze design references and interior layouts and translate them into technical drawings.
• Develop material breakdowns based on approved drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure drawings match field measurements for on-site installation.
• Coordinate with contractors and other trades for adjustments or clash resolution.
• Lead Kick Off Meetings for final drawing reviews with QC, R&D, Production, Assembly, and Finishing teams.
• Support troubleshooting across design, production, and installation stages.
• Prepare daily engineering reports and participate in morning briefings.
