Job summary

PT Ega Wayang Garmindo in Jakarta Selatan seeks a skilled Technical Designer to translate fashion designs into precise tech packs, create flat sketches, stitching details, and accessory specifications for all garment styles.

You will establish detailed measurement charts, determine grading rules with the Pattern Maker, lead fittings, and ensure QA-ready tech packs for BOM integration in ERP (Odoo).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years as Technical Designer, Garment Technologist, or similar in fashion brand/manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of woven and knit garment construction across shirts, tees, trousers, and outerwear.
• Proficient in creating measurement charts, determining size tolerances, and applying grading rules.
• Able to read garment patterns; Optitex experience is a strong advantage.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
• Exceptional attention to detail; organized documentation; able to flag samples not meeting standards.
• Fluent in basic English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Finalize tech packs for BOM integration in ERP (Odoo) and handover to production.

Minimum Diploma (D3), Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or a relevant fashion school graduate

Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Technical Designer, Garment Technologist, or a similar role within a fashion brand or garment manufacturing

In-depth understanding of woven and knit garment construction, covering categories from shirts and t-shirts to trousers and outerwear

Proficient in creating measurement charts, determining size tolerances, and applying garment grading rules

Ability to read and understand garment patterns (experience with pattern-making software such as Optitex is a strong advantage)

Highly proficient in operating Adobe Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized in documenting specifications, and assertive in pointing out samples that fail to meet standards

Fluent in basic English, both written and spoken, to comprehend and translate garment technical terminologies

Job Summary

Translate visual designs from Fashion Designers into comprehensive tech packs, including technical flat sketches, stitching details, and accessory specifications

Establish detailed measurement charts (points of measure) and size tolerances for every garment style

Determine size grading rules in collaboration with the Pattern Maker to ensure consistent and proportional sizing across all size ranges

Lead fitting sessions by measuring samples on fit models, documenting required corrections, and providing clear technical explanations to the team

Update tech pack documents continuously through every revision stage until the final sample receives official approval from the Sample Room Manager

Prepare tech packs for Quality Assurance (QA) review and proactively follow up on any technical findings or evaluations

Inspect and verify the accuracy of Size Set samples against technical specifications before transitioning into mass production

Finalize tech packs for Bill of Materials (BOM) integration in the ERP system (Odoo) and prepare complete handover packages for the production team

Maintain highly organized archives of all tech pack documents, measurement charts, and fitting notes within designated style folders

Exercise the authority to reject and return physical samples to Pattern Makers or Sample Makers if the dimensions and construction details do not align with the Tech Pack
