Job summary
Klotifai is seeking a Technical Designer to translate fashion designs into comprehensive tech packs, including flat sketches, stitching details, and accessory specs in Jakarta. You will establish detailed measurement charts and size tolerances for every garment style, and determine grading rules with the Pattern Maker for consistent sizing.
You will lead fittings, document corrections, and provide clear technical explanations.
Qualifications
- Educational background in fashion, textile engineering, or related field.
- 2–4 years as Technical Designer, Garment Technologist, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of woven/knit garment construction.
- Ability to create measurement charts and apply grading rules.
- Experience reading patterns; Optitex is a plus.
- Proficiency in Illustrator and Excel/Sheets; highly organized.
Responsibilities
- Translate designs into tech packs with flat sketches and specs.
- Create measurement charts and size tolerances for each style.
- Determine size grading rules with Pattern Maker for consistent sizing.
- Lead fittings, document corrections, and explain needs clearly.
- Update tech packs through revisions until final approval.
- Prepare tech packs for QA review and track findings.
- Inspect Size Set against specs before mass production.
- Finalize tech packs for BOM integration in ERP (Odoo).
- Maintain organized archives of tech docs and fittings.
- Reject/return samples if dimensions or construction fail.
