Yayasan Budha Tzu Chi Wiyata Indonesia is seeking a librarian to support the IB curriculum by integrating information literacy, research, and inquiry-based learning into classroom activities.

The role collaborates with teachers to develop students’ research and academic honesty skills, manages print and digital resources, and promotes a culture of reading and independent learning through engaging library programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in library-related field required.
  • Teaching qualification or certification preferred.
  • 3–5 years in a school library or educational setting.
  • Familiar with IB curriculum (PYP/MYP/DP) and inquiry-based learning.
  • Strong knowledge of information literacy, research methods, and referencing.
  • Experience with library management systems and digital learning platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with teachers and students.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Job description

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Education, Information Science, or related field.

Teaching qualification or certification is preferred.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a school library or educational environment.

Familiarity with IB curriculum (PYP/MYP/DP) and inquiry-based learning approach is preferred.

Strong knowledge of information literacy, research methodologies, and academic referencing.

Experience with library management systems and digital learning platforms.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers and students.

Strong organizational and resource management abilities.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

With Her strong will to free all living beings from suffering, in 1966, She established a charity organization to help all people as part of Her great mission.

Buddhist teachings serve as guidance for the path of Tzu Chi members. They implement Dharma in their daily lives sincerely.

From time to time, this charity organization gets more known and the numbers of the members increase significantly. They came from various backgrounds such as from the middle class society and professionals, as well as other people in general. They get to know and enthusiastically help out in Tzu Chi activities. Master Cheng Yen realized that those who are more fortunate financially need an opportunity to donate and do charity works, while people who are less fortunate need help financially. Both need each other. With the principle of "To save the world through compassion", She implements this principle into real action, gathering people with sincere hearts and establishing an organization to cultivate their souls.
