Motel Rocks Bali is seeking a Tax Manager to support the Group Finance Director in overseeing tax operations across Indonesia. The role includes policy creation, tax planning, transfer pricing review, and representing Motel in tax matters.

Key duties include full tax compliance, audit prep, and supervising a Tax assistant while driving efficient processes and cross-functional alignment with the ROW Finance Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar role with tax management experience.

• Proficient with tax software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax compliance for Indonesia, including VAT and withholding taxes.
• Prepare documents for tax audits and support audits as needed.
• Manage Tax assistant and improve tax processes.
• Collaborate with compliance to ensure full tax compliance.
• Support sustainability initiatives within the business.

Full Time, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30, 1 hour for lunch.

They started purchasing vintage clothing in the USA and selling it wholesale, which eventually led to the creation of stores. The Role

The Tax Manager will be responsible for supporting the Group Finance Director in overseeing the tax operations across Indonesia, working alongside the ROW Finance Manager to align processes and cover where applicable. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance including policy creation and tax planning, transfer pricing policy and review. Applying for tax facilities where applicable. Also representing Motel against any tax litigation if necessary.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Full responsibility for tax compliance, including employee tax, corporation tax, withholding tax and VAT.

Preparing supporting documents for Tax Audit

Management of Tax assistant

Involvement in improvements to internal processes and improving efficiencies within the team.

Working with the compliance manager to ensure full tax compliance

Support Motel's sustainability initiatives by considering how our practices can improve, actively working in line with the sustainability journey of the business.

About you

5 years experience in a similar role

Previous supervision of staff

Good oral and written communication skills.

The ability to work as part of a team.
