Job summary

Tripatra is seeking a Quality Controller – Tank to lead the inspection of aboveground storage tanks for oil & gas projects. You will ensure adherence to API 650/653, oversee fabrication and field erection, and coordinate with contractors and engineering teams to uphold quality standards.

The role requires 6+ years in engineering, fabrication, or QC, with 4+ years in tank QC inspections. Location is AREA PROJECT PHR JPK, and you will prepare routine reports and maintain quality documentation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering, fabrication or QC experience.
• 4+ years in Tank QC inspections for Oil & Gas and related industries.
• Proficient in API 650 and API 653 inspection standards.
• Experience with tank fabrication inspections, hydrostatic testing, coatings, and quality docs.
• Certified API 650 or API 653 within last 5 years.
• Strong communication and coordination with contractors and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tanks to ensure API 650/653 compliance and project specs.
• Verify fabrication, welding, dimensional inspection, hydrostatic tests, and coatings.
• Coordinate with contractors and engineering teams to meet quality requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality records.
• Ensure SOPs and QA/QC procedures are followed.
• Identify non-conformities and track corrective actions until closure.
• Support Lead Quality Controller in quality assurance activities.
