Job summary

PT Prakasalanggeng MAJUBERSAMA is seeking a seasoned Quality Manager to lead the QC team across welding, NDT, coating, and dimensional inspection. You will develop and review project quality plans and procedures, ensuring all fabrication and installation meet international standards and client requirements.

You will drive NCR/CAPA processes, coordinate with third-party inspectors, and oversee MDR/PQP preparation, calibration regimes, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within EPC, steel fabrication, tank, piping, or Oil & Gas.
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Prof certifications such as CSWIP/WI-RI, NDT Level II, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
• In-depth knowledge of ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, ISO codes and standards.
• Fabrication inspection, welding inspection, NDT, coating/painting inspection, MDR/PQP prep.
• Strong leadership, communication, and HSE awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review PQP, ITP, WPS/PQR procedures and other project quality docs.
• Ensure fabrication, assembly, welding, and installation meet specs and standards.
• Lead and coordinate QC Inspectors (Welding, NDT, Coating, Dimensional).
• Manage non-conformances, perform root-cause analyses, and oversee CAPA.
• Coordinate with TPI, client representatives, and subcontractors on inspection schedules.
• Monitor calibration of measuring equipment and qualifications of welders/NDT personnel.
• Prepare MDR and project certification documentation for client submission.
• Generate daily, weekly, monthly quality reports and KPI tracking for QC.

Job description

Develop and review Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), WPS/PQR procedures, and other project quality documentation

Ensure that all fabrication, assembly, welding, and installation processes comply with technical specifications, international standards, and client requirements

Lead and coordinate the team of QC Inspectors (Welding, NDT, Coating, Dimensional) in the execution of daily inspection tasks

Manage and handle non-conformances (Non-Conformance Reports / NCR), conduct root cause analysis, and oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Coordinate with Third-Party Inspectors (TPI), Client/Owner representatives, and subcontractors regarding inspection schedules and quality clarifications

Monitor the calibration of measuring/inspection equipment and ensure the validity of qualifications/certifications for welders and NDT personnel

Supervise the compilation and completion of Manufacturing Data Records (MDR) and project certification documentation for submission to the client

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports concerning quality performance and the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the QC department

Requirement

Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field

At least 5 years of work experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within the EPC, steel fabrication, tank, piping, or Oil & Gas industries

At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role

Possession of relevant professional certifications such as Certified Welding Inspector/CSWIP/WI-RI, NDT Level II, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

In-depth understanding of international codes and standards (ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, ISO)

Proficiency in fabrication inspection processes, welding inspection, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), coating/painting inspection, and the preparation of MDR (Manufacturing Data Record) and PQP (Project Quality Plan)

Strong leadership and communication skills

High attention to detail

Solid understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards
