Job summary

Betterplace is seeking an experienced Talent Development Manager to lead the learning strategy across its Bali properties. You will design programs, coordinate with trainers, and ensure consistent onboarding that reflects Betterplace values.

The role requires 5–7 years in L&D, including 2 years leading company-wide initiatives, hospitality or multi-location service experience, and willingness to travel across Bali.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Education, Hospitality Management, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years progressive L&D, Training, or Talent Development experience, including at least 2 years leading L&D function or large programs.
• Experience in hospitality, property management, hotels, resorts, or multi-location service businesses preferred.
• Proficient with Office/Workspace, presentation/content-design tools, LMS, and training dashboards.
• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and English, written and spoken.
• Willing to travel regularly across Bali.

Responsibilities

• Develop Betterplace’s annual L&D strategy, calendar, priorities, and budget.
• Design, update, and maintain training modules, facilitator guides, participant materials, assessments, SOP materials, and digital content.
• Deliver new-employee orientation to introduce Betterplace’s values and standards.
• Arrange training rooms, equipment, materials, refreshments, transportation, accommodation, and external trainers.
• Support departments in creating and delivering ongoing technical and operational training.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness via feedback, assessments, observations, and business indicators.
• Support succession planning, talent reviews, development plans, and internal mobility.

Job description

Develop Betterplace’s annual learning and development strategy, calendar, priorities, and budget.

Design, update, and maintain training modules, facilitator guides, participant materials, assessments, SOP learning materials, and digital learning content.

Deliver new-employee orientation and ensure every employee receives a consistent introduction to Betterplace’s values, service standards, and ways of working.

Arrange training rooms, equipment, learning materials, refreshments, transportation, accommodation, external trainers, and other logistical requirements.

Support departments in developing and delivering their ongoing technical and operational training programs.

Evaluate learning effectiveness using participant feedback, assessments, observation, manager feedback, performance improvement, and relevant business indicators.

Support succession planning, talent reviews, individual development plans, career pathways, and internal mobility.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Hospitality Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.

At least 5–7 years of progressive Learning & Development, Training, or Talent Development experience, including at least 2 years leading an L&D function or major company-wide programs.

Experience within hospitality, property management, hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, retail, or another multi-location service business is strongly preferred.

Comfortable using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, presentation and content-design applications, learning-management systems, and training-data dashboards.

Fluent professional communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken.

Willing and able to travel regularly between Betterplace properties and operational locations across Bali.

Relevant certifications such as Training of Trainers, instructional design, coaching, hospitality training, or talent management are advantageous.
