Job summary

Eterna Indonesia is hiring a Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to manage servers, networks, and cloud environments for our U.S.-based clients. This fully remote role requires night shift hours aligned to Indonesian time and strong technical expertise for independent work with distributed teams.

You will oversee Windows/Linux servers, AD/Entra ID, backups, and automation, collaborating with security and network teams on infrastructure projects. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of systems administration experience.
• Strong Windows Server and/or Linux server expertise.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Scripting ability (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation tasks.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) for effective remote collaboration.
• Willingness to work night shift (Indonesian time) aligned to U.S. business hours.

• Implement patch management, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.

• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with security and network teams on infrastructure projects.
• Provide tier-2 escalation support for complex technical issues.

We are currently hiring a skilled Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to manage servers, networks, and virtual/cloud environments for our U.S.-based clients.

About the Role

You’ll manage servers, networks, and virtual/cloud environments for U.S.-based clients, ensuring smooth operations, backups, and endpoint management. This is a fully remote position with night shift hours (Indonesian time) requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams.

Requirements (Must-have)

• 2+ years of systems administration experience
• Strong Windows Server and/or Linux server expertise
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)

• Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
• Scripting ability (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation tasks
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) for effective remote collaboration
• Willingness to work night shift (Indonesian time) aligned to U.S. business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA Server+ or Linux+ certification
• Red Hat RHCSA / RHCE for Linux-focused roles
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices
• ITIL Foundation or similar process management knowledge
• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, CloudWatch)
