Qualifications

• Strong food preparation and cooking skills, with sushi or Japanese cuisine experience.
• Sound knowledge of seafood selection, handling and storage.
• Excellent culinary skills including knife techniques and plating.
• Strict hygiene and food safety practices in line with local regulations.
• Relevant experience as a Sushi Chef or in a professional kitchen.
• Ability to work in a fast paced setting while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Formal culinary training or certification is an advantage but not mandatory.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sushi Chef role based in Tabanan - Bali. The Sushi Chef will prepare and assemble sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and various rolls, while maintaining consistent quality and presentation standards. Daily responsibilities include selecting and cutting seafood, cooking and seasoning rice, handling ingredients safely, and ensuring all food preparation areas meet hygiene and sanitation requirements. The Sushi Chef will collaborate with the kitchen team, manage inventory of sushi ingredients, and support menu development or specials as needed to enhance the guest experience.
