Job summary

PT Bureau Veritas Indonesia seeks a qualified QC Inspector with a minimum D3 in Engineering and at least five years in Oil & Gas. You will specialize in quality control of materials, piping and surface equipment, with field experience preferred.

You must master inspection methods including NDT/NDE, and be familiar with API and ASTM standards; ISO 9001:2015 knowledge is essential. ASNT Level II and Welding Inspector certifications are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma 3 in Engineering; focus on petroleum, metallurgy, or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in Oil & Gas, QC of materials, piping, surface equipment, construction, and structural works.
• Familiar with inspection and QC methods including NDT/NDE.
• Knowledge of API 6A/5L/598/2B/520/527 and ANSI/ASME/ASTM standards.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and related QA standards.
• Holding ASNT Level II (RT/UT/MPI/DPT) certifications is preferred.
• Holding Welding Inspector certification is preferred.
• Proficient in English; strong interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work in remote areas; pass Jaeger near-vision test.

Job description

• Minimum D3 in Engineering, preferably Petroleum, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry or exploration activities, particularly in Quality Control of materials, Piping & Surface Equipment, Construction, and Structural works. Field experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience in inspection and Quality Control methods, including NDT/NDE.
• Familiar with API 6A, API 5L, API 598, API 2B, API 520, API 527, ANSI/ASME/ASTM standards related to materials, piping, and pressure vessels.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant Quality Assurance standards.
• Knowledge of construction material specifications is highly preferred.
• Hold ASNT Level II (or equivalent) certifications in Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), MPI, and DPT.
• Hold a valid Welding Inspector certification.
• Able and willing to work in remote areas.
• Able to pass a Jaeger near-vision test.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written.
• Strong, professional, and good interpersonal skills.
