Job summary

Datalec Precision Installations (DPI) is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator based in Batam to coordinate end-to-end material flow, procurement, and supplier services for projects. You will work with Project Teams, Procurement, Logistics Partners, and Suppliers to ensure timely, on-spec deliveries across regional and international operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end flow of materials and services per project requirements.
  • Issue and track purchase orders; liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Manage local and international logistics, shipping and customs docs.
  • Maintain procurement records and ensure audit readiness.
  • Provide regular updates on order status and supply risks.
  • Support ESG/compliance reporting and cost control efforts.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Site Teams to align delivery schedules.

Job description

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the end‑to‑end flow of materials, equipment, and supplier services to support Datalec Precision Installations’ projects. Based in Batam, the role plays a key part in managing procurement coordination, logistics, supplier communication, and documentation to ensure materials are delivered on time, to specification, and in line with project and compliance requirements.

The role works closely with Project Teams, Procurement, Logistics Partners, and Suppliers to support efficient, cost‑effective, and reliable project delivery across regional and international operations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the ordering of materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements and procurement processes.
  • Support sourcing activities by liaising with approved suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Issue and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with specifications and budgets.
  • Maintain clear communication with suppliers regarding lead times, availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate local and international logistics, including shipping, customs documentation, and delivery to site or warehouse locations.
  • Monitor deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time and in full.
  • Resolve delivery delays, shortages, or discrepancies in collaboration with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Support inventory control and stock management where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and supply chain records, ensuring audit readiness.
  • Ensure all documentation (POs, delivery notes, invoices, shipping paperwork) is complete and correctly filed.
  • Support compliance with Company procedures, client requirements, and relevant import/export regulations.
  • Assist with ESG‑related or compliance reporting requirements linked to suppliers and materials, where required.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Teams to align material delivery with project programmes.
  • Provide regular updates on order status, risks, and supply issues.
  • Support cost control by highlighting potential savings, alternatives, or risks to budgets.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties,
  • Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company and group policies and procedures.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a supply chain, procurement, logistics, or coordination role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities.
  • Good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Close attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement or ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, data centre, or installation projects.
  • Exposure to international logistics, freight forwarding, or customs processes.
  • Experience working with suppliers across Asia and international markets.
  • Understanding of compliance, ESG, or regulated supply chain environments.
  • Background in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or infrastructure environments.
