Job summary

Datalec Precision Installations (DPI) seeks a Logistics Coordinator to coordinate and execute logistics activities across multiple project sites, ensuring efficient movement, storage and delivery of materials and equipment for data centre projects. You will work with project managers, suppliers and subcontractors to optimize inbound/outbound flows.

The role requires strong organisational skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to dynamic schedules and international supply

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping, customs and freight coordination.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational, stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute logistics activities across project sites.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to support construction and installation operations.
  • Manage inventory systems and ensure accurate tracking of assets and consumables.
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs agents for compliant shipments.
  • Monitor warehouse and laydown areas for safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide logistical forecasting and risk mitigation support to project teams.
  • Monitor on-site performance of logistics contractors and services.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics processes.
  • Represent the business with clients and third parties, maintaining confidentiality.

Job description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing all logistics activities across project sites. This role ensures the efficient movement, storage and delivery of materials, tools and equipment to support high-performance construction and installation operations, particularly within mission-critical environments such as data centres.

Working closely with project managers, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors, you will oversee inbound and outbound logistics, manage inventory systems, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The role demands strong organisational skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to dynamic project schedules and international supply chain challenges.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Implement logistics plans aligned with project timelines and site requirements.
  • Coordinate deliveries, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment across multiple sites.
  • Manage inventory systems and ensure accurate tracking of assets and consumables.
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
  • Monitor and optimise warehouse and laydown areas for safety, efficiency, and accessibility.
  • Ensure compliance with local transport, HSE and environmental regulations
  • Support project teams with logistical forecasting and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor logistics contractors on-site.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties.
  • Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company and group policies and procedures.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a data centre or construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping, customs and freight co-ordination.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational, stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to material handling.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating logistics equipment are an asset.
  • Crane or lifting qualifications, responsible for supervising lifting operations.Posses Sertifikat Kompetensi K3 (K3 Competency Certificate) or SIO (Surat Izin Operasi)
