Job summary

PT BMC Cosmetics Indonesia, based in Demak, Jawa Tengah, seeks an experienced Supervisor Tax to lead our tax team and ensure full regulatory compliance. The role covers tax reporting, VAT handling, and coordination with the Tax Office.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in accounting or taxation, Brevet AB & C, 3–5 years in taxation, and strong Excel skills. Leadership and English language ability are a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation.
• Brevet Tax Certification AB and C.
• 3–5 years of taxation experience; prior supervisor role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Income Tax, VAT, PPh 21, and tax documents.
• Experience coordinating with the Tax Office (KPP).
• Proven leadership ability and team supervision.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office; English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tax administration and reporting in compliance with regulations.
• Review tax payments and reimbursements from a tax perspective.
• Manage and maintain Coretax account.
• Prepare and summarize transactions for PPh 21 certificates and XML processes.
• Prepare Output Tax Invoices (VAT) using an XML converter.
• Review input VAT for Monthly VAT Returns (SPT Masa PPN).
• Oversee tax billing submission and payments.
• Coordinate with Tax Office (KPP) on tax matters.
• Archive tax documents and ensure records are complete.
• Monitor tax obligations and ensure timely reporting.
• Guide and supervise the tax team in daily tasks.
• Identify tax risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.

About the role

PT BMC Cosmetics Indonesia is seeking an experienced Supervisor Tax to join our Finance and Compliance team. Based in Demak, Jawa Tengah, this is a full-time position responsible for managing and overseeing tax-related matters for our organisation. As Supervisor Tax, you will be responsible for ensuring the company remains compliant with Indonesian tax regulations, supporting tax reporting and administration, and identifying potential tax risks. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate tax records, supporting financial governance, and ensuring timely and proper tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and ensure that all company tax administration and reporting processes are properly carried out in compliance with applicable tax regulations.

Review payment and reimbursement requests from a tax perspective.

Manage and maintain the company’s Coretax account.

Review and summarize transactions for the preparation of withholding tax certificates (PPh 21 for non-employees) and unification processes using an XML converter.

Review sales transactions for the preparation of Output Tax Invoices (VAT Invoices) using an XML converter.

Review purchase transactions and ensure proper reconciliation of input VAT data for Monthly VAT Returns (SPT Masa PPN).

Supervise the submission and payment of tax billing.

Maintain communication and coordination with the Tax Office (KPP) regarding tax administration, correspondence, clarification, and tax-related information.

Ensure all tax documents and records are properly archived, complete, and well organized.

Monitor the company’s tax obligations and ensure timely tax reporting and compliance.

Provide guidance and supervise the tax team in carrying out daily tasks.

Identify potential tax issues and provide appropriate solutions to minimize the company’s tax risks.

What we're looking for

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.

Possess Brevet Tax Certification AB and C.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in taxation, with experience as a Tax Supervisor or in a similar position preferred.

Strong understanding of Income Tax (PPh), VAT (PPN), PPh 21, Tax Invoices, Withholding Tax Certificates, Monthly Tax Returns, and Coretax.

Experience communicating and coordinating with the Tax Office (KPP).

Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide a team.

Detail-oriented, focused, organized, firm, responsible, and analytical.

Able to work under deadlines and meet tax reporting schedules.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Good communication and coordination skills.

English proficiency is an advantage.
