Job summary

PT Sawit Sukses Abadi is seeking an experienced Accounting & Tax Supervisor to join our Finance team in Central Jakarta on a full-time basis. This strategic role oversees day-to-day accounting, tax compliance, and the management of the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.

The candidate will supervise AP/AR, GL, and bank reconciliations, prepare financial statements per PSAK, and coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience with 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of PSAK and tax regulations (corporate income tax, VAT, payroll tax).
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; ERP systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR, GL maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and reports compliant with Indonesian standards.
• Lead and coach the accounting team to meet quality and deadlines.
• Oversee corporate tax filings, VAT, and other statutory obligations.

About the role

PT Sawit Sukses Abadi is seeking an experienced Accounting & Tax Supervisor to join our Finance team in Central Jakarta on a full-time basis. This is a strategic supervisory position that plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and the effective management of our accounting operations. You will oversee day-to-day accounting functions and lead a team of accounting professionals, whilst maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and regulatory compliance. This role is essential to supporting the company's financial objectives and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance and bank reconciliation

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, trial balances and general accounting reports in compliance with Indonesian accounting standards

Lead the accounting team, providing guidance, training and performance feedback to ensure team members meet quality and deadline standards

Manage tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, value-added tax (VAT) returns and other statutory tax obligations

Review and verify accounting transactions, journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and proper authorisation

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and internal controls

Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and best practices

Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities to resolve accounting and tax matters

Prepare monthly financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making

Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax regulations and other relevant accounting legislation

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity

Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards (PSAK) and tax regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT and payroll tax

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous

Solid understanding of financial accounting, tax compliance and internal controls

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial matters

Hold professional accounting certification Brevet A & B from reputable institution. (mandatory)

Familiar in operating Coretax and it's associated

Handle external relation with person/instituion such as Auditor, Tax Officer, etc.
