Job summary

PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara seeks a Superintendent Laboratory Environment & QA/QC to lead the laboratory quality management system across Smelter operations, ensuring ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, data integrity, and regulatory adherence.

You will oversee document control, internal audits, CAPA, external audits, and performance reporting, guiding QA/QC staff to sustain accreditation readiness and continual improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy or similar.
• 10–15 years in metals and mining laboratory with at least 5 years of team leadership.
• Ability to lead ISO/IEC 17025-based quality management systems.

Responsibilities

Job description

As Superintendent Laboratory Environment & QA/QC you will be responsible to lead, manage, and ensure the effective implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the laboratory quality management system in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory information management system (LIMS), company standards, regulatory requirements, environmental testing, sample pick-up, and operational needs. This position is responsible for overseeing QA/QC systems, document control, data integrity, internal audit, corrective action management, accreditation readiness, and quality compliance for Smelter Laboratory operations supporting Smelter operation at Amman Mineral Industri.

Some of your duties will be:

Lead and manage the implementation of laboratory quality systems in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.

Ensure all Smelter Laboratory activities comply with approved procedures, test methods, work instructions, quality requirements, and regulatory standards.

Oversee document control activities, including approval, revision, distribution, archiving, and withdrawal of laboratory controlled documents.

Ensure quality records, technical records, audit records, training records, validation records, and QA/QC records are properly controlled and audit-ready.

Lead laboratory internal audit programs, including audit planning, execution, reporting, follow-up, and effectiveness verification.

Coordinate and support external audits, accreditation audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.

Monitor and evaluate laboratory QA/QC performance, such as but not limited to control charts, proficiency testing, inter-laboratory comparison, CRM, blanks, duplicates, spike recovery, and calibration verification.

Ensure nonconformities, customer complaints, QA/QC deviations, and data integrity issues are properly investigated and followed up through effective as per laboratory management procedure.

Lead review and improvement of laboratory data management processes to ensure data accuracy, reliability, traceability, and integrity.

Oversee method validation, method verification, and measurement uncertainty programs to ensure methods are fit for purpose.

Provide direction and guidance to Senior Chemist – QA/QC, Chemist – QA/QC, and laboratory personnel regarding quality system implementation.

Prepare and present quality performance reports, audit results, CAPA status, document control status, and QA/QC performance to laboratory management.

Lead management review preparation and ensure required quality inputs are complete and accurate.

Identify risks and improvement opportunities related to laboratory quality systems, documentation, compliance, and data integrity.

Promote quality culture, good documentation practice, data integrity, and continuous improvement across Smelter Laboratory operations.

Ensure competency, training, and awareness programs related to ISO/IEC 17025 and QA/QC are effectively implemented.

Perform tasks in accordance with instructions issued by the Manager-Laboratory and Quality Assurance, ensuring procedures are executed systematically and accurately.

Requirements:

Minimum requirements: BS in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Metallurgy or similar discipline

10-15 years in metals and mining laboratory with at least 5 years of experience in leading teams

Be able to lead the implementation and continual improvement of laboratory quality management systems based on ISO/IEC 17025.

Be able to oversee laboratory document control and quality record management.

Be able to manage internal audit programs, audit execution, audit reporting, and corrective action follow-up.

Be able to evaluate QA/QC performance and identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Be able to ensure laboratory data integrity, traceability, accuracy, completeness, and reliability.

Be able to review and evaluate nonconformities, customer complaints, QA/QC deviations, and data integrity issues.

Be able to lead root cause analysis and CAPA effectiveness verification.

Be able to oversee method validation, method verification, and measurement uncertainty programs.

Be able to prepare and present quality performance reports and management review inputs.

Be able to support accreditation audits, customer audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance assessments.

Be able to provide technical and quality guidance to QA/QC personnel and laboratory teams.

Designated as LIMS administrator for data management systems for reporting and quality monitoring.

Be able to develop quality system improvement plans and monitor their implementation.

Be able to review, approve, and release testing result of certificate analysis.
