Job summary

PT SGS Indonesia is seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to maintain high quality work in mineral geochemistry analyses. You will coach and train laboratory technicians on proper analytical techniques and procedures, ensure efficient workflow, and uphold safety and quality standards in the laboratory.

The ideal candidate has a chemistry degree, hands-on experience with AAS, infrared sulfur, and wet chemistry, and familiarity with LIMS CCLAS.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor degree in chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 3 years operational experience in minerals / geochemistry laboratory.
• Basic familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train laboratory technicians on proper analytical technique and procedures.
• Ensure efficient work flow through the laboratory section.
• Interface with Sample preparation, fire assayer, Lab. Assistant Manager and Lab. Manager.
• Ensure safety compliance at all times.

Job description

PROFILE

Diploma or Bachelor degree in chemistry or related field

Minimum 3 years operational experience in minerals / geochemistry laboratory would be advantage

High School chemistry or related field with minimum 5 years experienced in geochemistry laboratory

Medium knowledge about Quality Management System, ISO 9001 and ISO 17025

Medium level spoken English

Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements

Understand the classical 'wet' chemistry methods: titrations (colour end-points and potentiometric end-points), gravimetric finish and volumetric analysis.

Mandatory basic skills lab.: pipetting, dilutions, weighing on a balance, filtration.

Experience with Infrared-Sulfur, AAS and Wet Chemistry

Experience using Laboratory Information Management System, LIMS CCLAS
