Job summary

PT China Huadian Engineering Indonesia is seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to prepare and review BOQ, cost estimates, and project budgets, and to perform quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications. You will prepare tender documentation and help evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

The role also involves cost analysis, unit-rate calculations, monitoring project costs and cash flow, managing variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts, while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in civil works and steel structure installation.
• Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both spoken and written).
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, quantity take offs, and cost control.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings (Structural, Architectural, and MEP drawings a plus).
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with AutoCAD, MS Project or other QS software.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQ, cost estimates, and project budgets.
• Perform quantity take offs based on drawings and specifications.
• Prepare tender documentation and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct cost analysis and prepare unit rate calculations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage variation orders, progress claims, and final account settlements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management teams.
• Prepare periodic cost reports and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company standards.
