Job summary

dsm-firmenich, a global nutrition, health and beauty company, seeks a Buyer who will shape sourcing strategies for logistics and packaging across Indonesia. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to secure supply, optimize costs, and drive supplier performance while ensuring adherence to ESG and safety standards.

You will monitor market trends, lead tenders, and manage contracts, contributing to sustainable value for the business and its communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equal level developed by experience.
• Local language and English required; other languages a plus.
• Min 2 years of senior procurement experience preferred.
• Solid experience in chemical logistics/supply chain preferred.
• Negotiation, contracting, demand management and systems savviness/multitasking.
• Effective communication, influencing & motivating others.
• Own and deliver the outcome.

Responsibilities

• Support development of sourcing strategies for logistics and packaging categories; implement with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure security of supply at competitive conditions; drive savings and engage with stakeholders on new products and processes.
• Track markets, macro-economic and regulatory influences; monitor supply-demand and technology developments.
• Lead competitive tenders/RFQ, negotiations, supplier selection and contracting.
• Lead contract implementation and resolve issues with Category Lead and Operations team.
• Initiate supplier performance evaluations; drive continuous service/product improvement.
