Job summary

dsm-firmenich is seeking a Buyer to manage logistics and packaging spend in Indonesia, implementing approved sourcing strategies and delivering value for sites across Indonesia. The role emphasizes collaboration with BU and Group functions to achieve results and contribute to the company’s sustainable agenda.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 2 years of senior procurement experience, plus strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant expertise area or equal level developed by experience.
• Local language and English required, other languages a plus
• Min 2 years as Senior Procurement experience strongly preferred
• Solid experience in chemical logistics/supply chain preferred
• Negotiation, contracting, demand management and relevant systems savviness / multitasking
• Effective communication, influencing & motivating others
• Own and deliver the outcome.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for logistics and packaging, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure supply security at competitive conditions and drive savings.
• Monitor markets, macro and geo-political influences, supply-demand trends.
• Lead competitive tenders and supplier negotiations.
• Oversee contract implementation with Category lead and operations.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and drive improvements.
