Job summary

Matahari Department Store in Palangkaraya is seeking a proactive Shop Leader to oversee our specialty store (Suko & Zes) and drive strong commercial execution. You will lead end-to-end operations, ensure impeccable display, service quality, and adherence to SOP while steering sales growth and profitability through local promotions and initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, at least four years in specialty retail, strong leadership and selling skills, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any major.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in specialty retail (fashion, footwear, lifestyle, beauty, or similar categories)
• Strong knowledge of store operations, sales, and retail business.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented with strong selling skills.
• Able to analyze business performance and drive results.
• Willing to travel within assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end store operations, ensuring excellence in display, cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service in line with SOP.
• Drive sales and profitability through active selling, promotional execution, store layout optimization, and local initiatives (events/bazaars).
• Manage and control store budget while identifying issues (sales, shrinkage, team performance) and implementing improvement actions.
• Lead, coach, and develop the store team through effective scheduling, performance monitoring, and capability building.
• Monitor market trends and competitors, maintain stakeholder relationships, and provide regular operational reports to support business growth.
