Job summary

Matahari is seeking a strategic Shop Leader for our Pekanbaru specialty store. Lead end-to-end store operations, drive sales and profitability, and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Ideally you have 4+ years in specialty retail, strong leadership, and a proven ability to analyze performance and implement improvements. Travel within the assigned area may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any major.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in specialty retail.
• Strong knowledge of store operations, sales, and retail business.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented with strong selling skills.
• Able to analyze business performance and drive results.
• Willing to travel within assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end store operations including display, cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service per SOP.
• Drive sales and profitability through active selling, promotions, layout optimisation, and local events/bazaars.
• Manage and control store budget, identify issues (sales, shrinkage, team performance) and implement improvements.
• Lead, coach, and develop store team via scheduling, performance monitoring, and capability building.
• Monitor market trends and competitors, maintain stakeholder relationships, and provide regular operational reports.
