Dharma Uluwatu is seeking a dedicated Steward to maintain cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen and dining areas. This full-time role is based on-site in South Kuta, Bali, and offers the chance to contribute to guest experiences in a vibrant hospitality setting.

You will work with the kitchen team during service, handle dishes and ensure hygiene standards, with a focus on reliability, teamwork and safety. Fluency in English or Indonesian is beneficial, and local visa requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a steward, kitchen hand or in a similar hospitality support role.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and organisation.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently, including lifting and carrying.
• Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge, with willingness to complete relevant certifications if required.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and peak periods.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Fluency in English or Indonesian (or both) is beneficial.
• Valid work permit or visa for employment in Bali

• Washing, sanitising and storing dishes, glassware, cutlery and cooking equipment efficiently and safely
• Organising and managing the storage of clean kitchenware and utensils in designated areas
• Assisting kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling and basic food handling as directed
• Supporting the kitchen team during service periods to ensure smooth operations
• Disposing of waste materials and recyclables in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Monitoring and replenishing supplies of cleaning materials and kitchen consumables
• Maintaining composure and working effectively during busy periods and peak service times
• Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene protocols established by the establishment
• Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Steward to join our team at Dharma Uluwatu in South Kuta, Bali. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in the vibrant hospitality and tourism industry. As a Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation and smooth operation of our kitchen and food service areas. Your attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards will directly contribute to the exceptional dining experiences we provide to our guests. This role is based on-site at our South Kuta, Bali location.

Key responsibilities

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, food preparation areas and dining spaces

Washing, sanitising and storing dishes, glassware, cutlery and cooking equipment efficiently and safely

Organising and managing the storage of clean kitchenware and utensils in designated areas
