Job summary

Roll Sg Pte Ltd in Batam, Indonesia seeks an operator to load, transport and position heavy equipment using SPMTs. You will follow strict guidelines to move loads safely, assemble trailers, and perform routine maintenance and inspections.

Qualifications

• Secondary vocational education in a technical subject.
• Basic knowledge of horizontal and vertical transport.
• 1 - 3 years of comparable work experience in a technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out transport operations safely, including operating SPMTs and moving loads.
• Assembling, positioning and preparing trailers in line with the transport plan.
• Operating the SPMTs under prescribed guidelines and procedures.
• Complying with safety regulations for safe and sustainable work.
• Performing safety checks such as pre-use checks, load fuses, hydraulics and permits.
• Reporting irregularities or security risks to designated persons.
• Agreeing and consulting with internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely work.
• Assisting in daily and minor maintenance and reporting repairs.
• Keeping SPMTs, containers and accessories clean.
• Carrying out administrative tasks per internal/external requirements.

Job description

In accordance with local legislation and regulations, internal and external (client's) procedures and guidelines, loading, unloading, assembly and operation of SPMTs, performing minor maintenance on the equipment and assisting with mob/demob of equipment so that the work can be carried out effectively and safely.

Key responsibilities

Carrying out transport operations safely, including operating SPMTs and therefore safely moving the load.

Assembling, positioning and preparing trailers in accordance with the transport plan.

Operating the SPMTs in accordance with the prescribed guidelines, rules and procedures.

Complying with established safety regulations, both internal and external, so that work can be carried out safely and sustainably for both people and the environment.

Performing safety checks, including pre-use checks, load fuses, hydraulic field distribution and presence of a valid permit.

Reporting irregularities or security risks to the designated persons and to the designated systems.

Clear and unambiguous agreements and consultation, both with internal and external stakeholders, so that the work is carried out on time, safely and in accordance with the right quality requirements.

Assisting in and carrying out daily and minor maintenance. Daily inspection, identifying and reporting of repairs. Reporting the necessary inspections, damage and maintenance. Correcting faults in accordance with the manual.

Keeping SPMTs, containers and accessories clean.

Carrying out administrative work, fully in line with internal and external requirements, instructions and manual.
