PT Medco Power Indonesia is looking for an experienced Specialist Industrial Relations who will be responsible for managing industrial relations activities and ensuring compliance with Indonesian labor laws, company policies, and Collective Labor Agreements (PKB) / Company Regulations (PP) for Headquarter office and Subsidiaries. The position will play an important role in maintaining harmonious employee relations, managing industrial relations cases, supporting policy implementation, and ensuring proper handling of employee disciplinary and termination processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of labor policies, Company Regulations (PP), and Collective Labor Agreements (PKB) for Headquarter office and Subsidiaries in alignment with applicable labor laws and organizational needs.
- Manage communication and negotiation with employees and labor unions to maintain constructive and harmonious industrial relations.
- Handle grievances, industrial relations disputes, and employee relations cases, including investigation, documentation, mediation, and resolution.
- Develop and maintain internal HR guidelines and policies related to industrial relations governance.
- Monitor the implementation and interpretation of PP / PKB and provide guidance to relevant departments.
- Supervise the issuance of disciplinary actions to ensure fairness, consistency, proper documentation, and compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
- Coordinate with government institutions, legal/labor consultants, Industrial Relations Court, unions, and third-party service providers when required.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Human Resources or other related field with minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Relations
- Proven experience in managing employee relations and negotiation, preferable in industrial relation matters such as PP / PKB renewal and negotiation, grievance management and industrial disputes.
- Experience working with government institutions, labor unions, consultants, or external vendors is an advantage.
- Exposure to labor audits, inspections, mediation, or industrial relations dispute resolution is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor laws and industrial relations practices.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities.
- Strong understanding of disciplinary procedures and documentation.
- Ability to manage sensitive employee relations matters with integrity, confidentiality, fairness, and sound judgment.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Must be able to travel to sites across Indonesia
Certification
- Certification in Industrial Relations or relevant training in labor law, PKB/PP negotiation, and dispute resolution is an advantage.
