Job summary

Ora Management Indonesia is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join the culinary team at KLYF Club, Nusa Ceningan, Bali. You will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, lead a team, and ensure top-quality dishes and service.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years in a supervisory culinary role, strong food safety knowledge, and a drive for culinary excellence. The position is based in Nusa Ceningan, Bali, with immediate availability preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and service.
• Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high performance.
• Ensure food quality, taste, presentation and consistency meets standards.
• Maintain hygiene, sanitation and kitchen safety.
• Monitor food costs, portions, inventory and waste.
• Assist in menu planning and recipe development.
• Coordinate with service team for timely food delivery.
• Support Head Chef in maintaining kitchen standards and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service
• Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen team members to maintain high performance and productivity
• Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency meet company standards
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen safety
• Monitor food costs, portion control, inventory, and minimize food waste
• Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and creating new dishes
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food ingredients
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure efficient and timely food delivery
• Support the Head Chef in maintaining kitchen standards and operational procedures

About you

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar supervisory culinary position
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards
• Experience in Asian, Western, or contemporary cuisine is an advantageI intial
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Creative, disciplined, and passionate about culinary excellence
• Willing to be based in Nusa Ceningan, Bali
