Job summary

Occibo, the AI-powered SaaS for children's book creation, seeks a QA Engineer to build and maintain automated tests so new features ship fast and confidently. You will work with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, and Postman in a remote-first startup environment.

Fluent English, 2+ years in QA or automation, and the ability to translate product requirements into robust tests are essential. You’ll contribute to test plans, CI pipelines, and ensure reliable quality across EU-friendly hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on software testing or QA automation experience.
• Experience with Playwright or Cypress (at least one framework).
• Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript and Git.
• Understanding of CI pipelines and reliable test design.
• Experience using AI tools in testing workflows.
• Fluent English and EU time zone overlap.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end UI test automation for the Occibo web app.
• Write test plans, test cases, and regression suites for core user flows.

• Collaborate with the development team on test data strategies and stable selectors.
• Add API level tests to support UI testing and improve reliability.
• Run tests in CI pipelines, track failures, and help keep the test suite stable.

About Occibo

Occibo is an AI-powered SaaS platform for children's book creation, built by IndieKidz GmbH in Berlin. We are a small, remote-first team looking for a QA Engineer to help us build and maintain automated testing so we can ship new features quickly and with confidence.

Tasks

What you will do:

• Build end-to-end UI test automation for the Occibo web app
• Write test plans, test cases, and regression suites for core user flows
• Translate product requirements into automated checks, including edge cases
• Collaborate with the development team on test data strategies and stable selectors
• Add API level tests to support UI testing and improve overall reliability
• Run tests in CI pipelines, track failures, and help keep the test suite stable and maintainable
• Use AI tools to speed up test creation, analysis, and maintenance

Requirements

We are looking for:

• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in software testing or QA automation
• Experience with at least one test automation framework — Playwright or Cypress preferred
• Comfortable with JavaScript or TypeScript and Git
• Understanding of CI pipelines and reliable test design
• Experience using AI tools in a testing or development workflow
• Fluent English
• Comfortable working in EU time zones or with significant overlap during European business hours
• Motivated to work in an early‑stage startup environment where things move fast and ownership is expected

Nice to have

• Prior SaaS UI automation experience
• API testing experience with Postman or REST clients
• Based in Indonesia or able to work in the Indonesia time zone
