Job summary

SkyCrunch, a SkyCrunch.com venture, is seeking a software developer to own the data layer between aviation data and the product. You will implement end-to-end features for an interactive web app while learning flight business domain problems and evaluating technical feasibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.

• Good understanding of software architecture and OOP.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Willing to work on-site in Bandung, West Java.

About

SkyCrunch (SkyCrunch.com) builds trip-planning and cost-intelligence software for business aviation. When flight crews plans a route, they need to know what fuel and ground handling will cost at each possible stop. This information is scattered across hundreds of fuel suppliers and FBOs (Fixed Base Operators, the companies that handle aircraft on the ground), most of whom still quote by email. We aggregate this information, normalize it, and put it on a map so an operator can compare stops in seconds instead of hours.

We're a small team moving at a fast pace. What we need now is someone to own the layer between the aviation world and the software: getting the pricing data in, understanding what it actually means, and turning that understanding into things we can build.

Responsibilities

Develop end-to-end features for an interactive web application.

Learn flight business domain problems to give insights on technical feasibility of a feature.

Maintain database and infrastructure.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Familiar with (or be ready to learn) the tech stack: ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, PostgreSQL, React.JS with Next.JS or Vite.

Understands basic UI design principles with experience in prototyping an MVP for review.

Good understanding of software architecture and OOP principles.

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Willing to work on-site in Bandung, West Java.

Nice to have

Experience with spatial data / GIS (PostGIS, Spatial SQL, NetTopologySuite, LeafletJS, etc.).

Experience with data visualization or interactive apps (D3.js, Three.js, Processing, p5.js, etc.).

Exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practice.

Knowledge of discrete optimization (vehicle routing, scheduling, knapsack, max flow, etc.).

Prior working experience in flight business.
