Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Software Engineer [Backend] to join the Platform team in Bandung. You will maintain and scale backend services powering the backup engine, delivering features and improvements in a SaaS platform with global collaboration.

Hybrid work requires 2 days in-office per week in Bandung. You’ll work with AWS, Datadog, and cross-functional teams to ensure performance and reliability, while growing technically alongside senior engineers and leads.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of software development experience.
• Experience in C# or Golang would be a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and Cloud.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present ideas and provide status updates.
• Team-oriented with customer focus and collaboration.
• Scripting skills: Python and Bash are a plus.
• Experience collaborating with global teams outside Indonesia is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for a Software Engineer [Backend] to join our Platform team and work on the backbone of Dropsuite's data backup and recovery product. You will be a key contributor in maintaining, evolving, and scaling the backend services that power our backup engine platform. You will be a part of a global team of product engineers delivering a SaaS platform.

The role is focused on working with several core backend services in our backup engine platform, including areas such as backup, restore, download, storage optimization and archiving. A key part of this role is helping maintain and improve the scalability, reliability, and performance of our backend platform as we continue to grow.

You will work very closely with many of our amazing Software Engineers and Leads to deliver quality product features, provide fixes and support improvements to the in-market product.

Location – Hybrid | Bandung, Indonesia (at least 2 days per week in the office)

What You’ll be Doing

• Developing and maintaining backend services
• Contributing to solutions that improve the scalability and reliability of our backup engine platform
• Working with cloud infrastructure services on AWS to support system performance and resource efficiency
• Writing efficient, well-tested, production-ready code that performs reliably at scale
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability
• Using monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog) to help ensure platform health and performance
• Working with a scrum team and participating in scrum ceremonies. Sharing status updates with accuracy
• Continuously learning and growing your technical skills, with support from senior engineers and team leads

About You

• About 2 to 5 years of experience in Software Development
• Experience in C# or Golang would be a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
• Knowledge of Operating systems like Linux and Windows
• Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and Cloud
• Good interpersonal skills, oral and written skills, with the ability to present ideas
• Able to express and explain new initiatives along with status updates

• Scripting skills, Python and bash will be a plus
• Working experience with Global teams outside Indonesia will be a huge plus
