Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Software Engineer [Backend] to join our Platform team in Bandung, Indonesia, contributing to the backbone of our data backup and recovery product. You will develop and evolve backend services powering the backup engine platform and collaborate with a global team of product engineers.

The role focuses on core backend services, improving scalability, reliability, and performance as we grow.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL and cloud.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Scripting skills in Python and Bash are a plus.
• Experience working with global teams outside Indonesia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining backend services.
• Contributing to scalability and reliability improvements for the backup engine platform.
• Working with AWS cloud infrastructure to support performance and resource efficiency.
• Writing production-ready, well-tested code that scales reliably.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability.
• Using monitoring/observability tools (e.g., Datadog) for platform health.
• Participating in Scrum ceremonies and providing accurate status updates.
• Continuously learning and growing technical skills with guidance from senior engineers.
