Job summary

Syspex is seeking a high-impact Lead Software Development Manager to steer the software team across automation projects, including AI cameras, machine vision, robotics, AMR and smart factory solutions.

You will translate customer requirements into robust software and oversee integration between machines, PLCs, sensors, MES/WMS/ERP, and other systems while guiding architecture, documentation, and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Automation, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of software development experience, with experience leading a software/development team.
• Proven experience in software architecture, system integration and project delivery.
• Good understanding of API, REST, database, TCP/IP, MQTT, OPC UA and industrial communication.
• Understanding of AI, Computer Vision and AI Camera development/integration.
• Experience with OpenCV, AI/ML frameworks or edge AI is an advantage.
• Understanding of PLC, robotics, AMR, IoT and industrial automation.
• Experience integrating software with robots, AMR, cameras, PLCs, sensors, MES/WMS/ERP or other industrial systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the software development team for Syspex automation and technology projects.
• Lead software development, integration and deployment for AI Camera, machine vision, robotics, AMR, automation and smart factory solutions.
• Translate automation requirements into software/system solutions.
• Oversee integration between machines, robots, AMR, AI cameras, PLC, sensors, MES/WMS/ERP and other systems.
• Develop or supervise AI Camera applications, including camera integration, AI detection, data processing, monitoring and dashboards.
• Lead software architecture, database, API, communication protocols and system integration.
• Review software design, coding standards, testing, troubleshooting and deployment.
• Provide technical direction and mentoring to software team members.
• Lead PoC, prototype and new technology development for Syspex's automation solutions.
• Maintain software documentation, source code, system architecture and development standards.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies in AI, computer vision, IoT, robotics, AMR and industrial software.

Job description

Lead and manage the software development team for Syspex automation and technology projects.

Understand customer requirements and translate automation requirements into software/system solutions.

Requirements:

Able to work hands-on when required, not only manage the team.
