Job summary

Wilmar International Limited in Jakarta seeks a Quality Control Senior Supervisor for the Palm Oil Downstream Industry to oversee QC activities across refinery and downstream production. You will lead lab operations, ensure GMP/HACCP/ISO/FSSC 22000 compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years in QC with 2+ in supervision, and strong knowledge of palm oil refinery processes and QC methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Food Tech, Chemistry, Chemical Eng, Industrial Eng)
• Minimum 5 years in Quality Control with at least 2 years in supervision
• Experience in Palm Oil Refinery or edible oil industries preferred

Quality Control Sr Supervisor (Palm Oil Downstream Industry)

The QC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all Quality Control activities within the refinery and downstream production processes, ensuring that raw materials, in-process products, and finished products comply with company standards, customer specifications, GMP, HACCP, ISO, FSSC 22000, and applicable regulatory requirements. The role also leads laboratory operations, quality personnel, continuous improvement initiatives, and supports product quality assurance across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

Supervise daily QC laboratory activities and quality inspection processes

Ensure accurate and timely testing of raw materials, intermediate products, packaging materials, and finished goods

Review and validate analytical test results prior to release

Ensure proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment

Monitor implementation of testing methods and laboratory procedures

Control laboratory consumables, chemicals, reagents, and reference standards

Implement and maintain quality management systems such as ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP

Participate in internal and external audits

Analyze quality trends and identify areas for improvement

Investigate customer complaints, product deviations, and non-conformities

About you

Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant disciplines

Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Background in Palm Oil Refinery, Edible Oil Processing, Specialty Fats Manufacturing, Oleochemical Industry, or Food Manufacturing Industry

Strong knowledge of Palm Oil Refinery processes, product quality parameters and specifications, and laboratory analytical methods

Strong knowledge of Statistical Quality Control, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and CAPA implementation

Familiar with testing parameters such as FFA, Moisture & Impurities (M&I), DOBI, IV, PV, Color, Slip Melting Point (SMP), Cloud Point, and Fatty Acid Composition

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

HACCP Certificate, Internal Auditor ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000, Food Safety Management System Training, or Laboratory Management Training (preferred)
