Job summary

Samudera Indonesia seeks a data and research professional to join its Jakarta team. You will analyze data using statistical methods, perform macroeconomic and logistics research, and prepare clear reports that inform strategic decisions.

You will help implement the Integrated Management System, address risk documentation, and participate in information security controls to safeguard the company’s information assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Management or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience with macroeconomy, shipping, port or logistics research.
• Solid knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Familiar with Bloomberg, CEIC, BPS or similar data sources.
• Fluent in written English.
• Willing to be located in Jakarta.

Responsibilities

• Analyze collected data using statistical methods and qualitative analysis to gain insights.
• Conduct research in macro economy, shipping, port, or logistics.
• Prepare research reports presenting findings clearly and systematically.
• Support IMS implementation and risk documentation in the department.
• Participate in information security and incident reporting as needed.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze the collected data using statistical methods, qualitative analysis techniques, or data analysis tools to gain relevant insights.
• Conduct good quality research based on industrial, commercial, health, environmental, and other important aspects.
• Prepare research reports containing findings and conclusions also present clear and systematic research results.

General Responsibilities

• Ensure the implementation of an Integrated Management System, including the identification, documentation, and control of risks in the relevant department's work area.
• Foster and ensure the commitment of every team member to understand and adhere to all applicable Integrated Management System requirements.
• Be willing to participate in the investigation process of accidents, incidents, or actions that may lead to incidents caused by unsafe actions or unsafe conditions, including providing accurate information and reports based on known facts.
• Be willing to engage in the information security control process applied to protect the information assets and information processing assets owned and/or managed by the Company from threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from Economics/Management/Industrial Engineering
• Familiar or experienced with research in macro economy, shipping, port, or logistics
• Well understanding about qualitative and quantitative research methodology
• Familiar with economic and industrial data source, such as Bloomberg, CEIC, BPS, or other relevant sources
• Fluent in English (written)
• Willing to be located in Jakarta
