Job summary

PT Giraffe Group Indonesia is seeking a Site Surveyor to perform accurate site surveys, establish measurements, and carry out setting-out for foundations and structures on Bali project sites.

The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, proficiency with surveying tools (Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, Laser Level), and the ability to read technical drawings. Independent work and strict safety adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of site surveying experience preferred in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
• Proficient with surveying instruments and basic software applications.

Responsibilities

Job description

This role involves conducting accurate site surveys and measurements to establish existing site conditions, levels, coordinates, boundaries, and dimensions. You will carry out setting-out works for foundations, structures, walls, columns, levels, and other construction elements in accordance with approved drawings, and verify construction works against approved drawings, specifications, dimensions, levels, and required tolerances.

Key responsibilities

Conduct accurate site surveys and measurements to establish existing site conditions, levels, coordinates, boundaries, and dimensions.

Carry out setting-out works for foundations, structures, walls, columns, levels, and other construction elements in accordance with approved drawings.

Review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and ensure construction activities are correctly positioned on site.

Verify construction works against approved drawings, specifications, dimensions, levels, and required tolerances.

Identify discrepancies between site conditions and design drawings and report them to the Project Manager or Engineering Team.

Prepare and maintain survey records, measurement reports, site data, and as-built documentation.

Conduct as-built surveys and provide accurate measurements and data for project documentation.

Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, Laser Level, and other relevant instruments.

Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Architects, Contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate execution of construction works.

Ensure surveying activities are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements and safety standards.

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Site Surveyor, preferably in construction, property development, villas, or infrastructure projects.

Strong practical knowledge of site surveying, setting-out, levels, elevations, coordinates, and construction measurements.

Proficient in operating Total Station and Auto Level. Experience with GPS/GNSS and Laser Level is an advantage.

Able to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.

Proficient in AutoCAD or relevant surveying/construction software.

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to work independently and under pressure in a construction-site environment.
